Nice post ! I'm surprised they let you into the "Flight Deck". With security so tight these days, I thought the Pilot always keeps to door locked ?
I donno. But yes, WIFI on planes now is VERY cool. I recently flew Delta, and they (at least all the planes I've flown) all have WiFi on board (above 15,000 feet). Usually it's a fee, but on one of my flights they gave you a free WiFi pass as you were boarding the plane.
Heck, a little off topic, but I remember when (7-8 years ago at the most) we used to fly alot, and there was Air-Phones in the middle seat. Now, I've noticed they are long gone, and WiFi is the new "in" thing with most airlines. No watch in this picture, but I was wearing my PO when I took it lol (going from ATL to PHX flying Delta taken 1 month ago):

Well,

I guess I can contribute also... you can see my old Explorer peaking out from my sleeve. Not really a jump seat, but I got to hang out i the cockpit for a couple minutes.

Good eyes! Hope the pic's not against forum rules

Derek: much better to be flown in a Gulfstream than to fly one, methinks!

Thank you, Karis!

Christiaan- not a Bus- it's a 190...seniority is king, so I bid the smaller plane.

Paul- cool pic from your Navy days- thank you for serving. I was enlisted Marine Corps; they knew me too well and wouldn't let me near an airplane, so I had to do it in the civilian sector. I've done ok...If I could do it again I'd have been a train engineer with a pension.

If you ever fly into ORD and fly the PAITN arrival, once you are in Chicago center airspace ask for Charlie Papa...those are my initials. My Girlfriend flys E-145 for Eagle and one days hopes to have enought seniority to bid anything haha
