Suspect 1655 on ebay

This watch is said to be a 1983 model but the dial is from the early-mid 1970's

Also I'm suspicious of the stamping between the lugs, it just doesn't look like what I'm used to.

Further, the 24 hour hand looks fake and the endlinks have cut off corners, so they are obviously fake too.

Named the "Steve McQueen" I don't think the seller realises...........

The claim 100% Rolex is untrue or otherwise misleading.

Thanks Dave, what are you thoughts on this one??????

See also how the 55 on the 1655 stamp appear to be set lower. Looks like the punch slipped by the guy when making the case

I believe the entire watch is fake. Everything is wrong.

The movement photo is from somewhere else.

Nice catch Steve!

Another "T Swiss T" dial with the wrong coronet and the "T"'s in the wrong place; writing in between the lugs is wrong too.

I would love to locate the source of those movement pics, but no luck.

This is looking very much like a scam, Steve, looks like you've caught yet another one

The movement photo looks cropped/photoshopped.

Your right, it just did not look correct. Even the movement pictures look cropped, I would be very careful with this one...Good catch.

From what I can see, diagnosing illness looks easier than picking out some of these fakes. I'm amazed at how fast the listings disappear once the trickery has been exposed by you guys.

In reality Joey, I am a full time rad onc.... and part time watch sleuth.

I like the watch sleuth job better. just doesn't pay as well.
