warranty card
please explain the warranty card?
if you buy a used watch and this is or is not filled out with the previous owner info how does that effect you? Also mine is not filled out for my daytona, my AD left it blank, does that make a difference on anything? THx |

Mhhh the AD has the duty to fill it out correctly.. I believe they send the info to Rolex after they fill it... You can call the AD and ask them. When I bought a watch.. I received the card by mail like a week after the purchase, with my name on it and everything.

As long as the date is stamped, everything else wouldnt matter much.

I understand that the warranty is not transferable, so there is no warranty on a used watch.

I am almost positive that the AD does NOT send the buyers info to Rolex after the purchase.

Yeah, I have a blank card with my purchase in an AD. Then, I came back to my AD with my card & they told me to fill the date out myself (The card already has the AD name & address on it)...just the date of purchase is not being filled out. It's just feel odd to me that I have to fill it out myself. ??!?!

What does the date on the card do?? if its blank does that mean you can put whatever you like and have the warranty extended??

Not true, the warranty is in full force for the warranty period, no matter who now owns it. Fully transferrable. I sent in a Rolex with the warranty still in affect to get regulated by Dallas RSC, no problems whatsoever, and no charge, I was the second owner, and told them as much.

The card should be dated (with date of purchase) and have the AD information on it.
