One Rolex, All Occassions, Which Would You Choose?

I am a CPA and meet with clients all the time... especially new prospective clients so I'm always conscience of my appearance. I want to look good but I worry about looking too flashy. I wear suits or sports coats most of the time and jeans,khakis or shorts on the weekends.

My first nice watch was my TT Datejust with a light colored face which I got in my early 30s and for me was a great do everything watch.

I am in my late 40s now and have added a Sub Date 16610 and a Breitling Super Ocean Chrono to my old faithful TT Datejust.

The TT Datejust looks great with a suit or my tux and the other two carry our the non suit days.

My suggestion is a Datejust. Either a TT with a white face and roman numerals or a SS Datejust again with a white face and roman numerals.

Despite getting rid of my 2007 SD for a Daytona, I think the Sea-Dweller is an outstanding all-rounder....miss it, despite loving my Daytona :)

For me it would have to be between the SD or Sub LV, but since I have got to make a choice it would have to be the Sub LV.. the green bezel adds that touch of understated class to an already versatile watch.

If I knew I would only get one shot, I might do the DJ II Black stick dial. It has size, sporty look and has a great feel. Otherwise the classic Sub/Date

Er.....well, I'll be a contrarian, I suppose, but my all-around Rolex (if I only had one) would be the YG Day-Date. It not only goes with everything, it says everything.

For me, it would be a Sub Date in SS or GMT Master II in SS.

I have always stuck with Submariners and GMTs. You can't go wrong with these for any occasion, but then you can't go wrong with a DJ either.

A simple Air-King with either a silver or black dial at 35mm, an Explorer I at 36mm, or a simple Perpetual Oyster at 36mm would be my choice. I find that my Milgauss - with matte black dial and clear sapphire crystal - is very versatile as well.

For sentimental reasons, I would use my Grandfather's and then my Fathers for 47 years, dress 6150 Explorer. Otherwise, I also have a 1980's vintage Date, which my mother gave me. This would be my second choice. As I said, for sentimental reasons.

One Rolex - I'm assuming I can't have any of my other watches, so I just have to choose literally one for all purposes. Hmm...probably a sub date. Which is interesting since of the Rolexes I want, a Sub Date isn't high on the list (I think my Omega Seamaster is awesome!).
