Thanks, Charles and Ed! I really love the watch, but these past few weeks I haven't worn it nearly as often, what with short days in the office, various holidays, etc.

This thread inspired me to haul the watch out for the photo. Next week, I have Mon. and Tues. off so I won't really wear the watch 'til Wednesday. I am tempted to bring out the watch for the New Year's photo for this thread, though.

I concur with the others' opinions, Langnam, when I say that is an exquisite watch!

I literally said "Oh my god!" out loud when I saw it.

One question: I know what each of the dials and hands is for except the small one surrounding July that goes from 1 to 4. Is that power reserve?

Same here...I'd love to see one in person. Langam any chance you can post some up close pix? The dial is just stunning...everything by Lange is pretty amazing tho. Pretty sure that is the leap year display btw Scoob.

Scooby and Montecristo,
You're both correct. The subdial on the lower right hand side is the leap year indicator. It moves a click counter clockwise on the first of every month. I'll try and post photos in the New Year, but I'm no Comatox!
The Perpetual is practically my daily wearer during the work week and was bought brand new from an AD two years ago. I also own a RG/SD Lange1 that I'll wear to the office once in a while. I like to wear the L1 out during some evening function, as imo it's very elegant.
I'm glad you folks enjoyed the watch.

Nah, it takes about an hour to line up perfectly and as that's going on, so is the day change.

Finally the date is correct today.

In three days the date window moves to the 6 o'clock position and it'll be correct again.

This morning the date on my Alpha says "32." I had to go all the way to 39, then 0, then 1!

I've seen a friends CARTIER doing that. It went all the way up to 34!!!!

Then he sent it to the AD to have it fixed...

My Bathys with the twin date wheels also goes to 39. A price I'll pay for those big #'s. Good excuse once a month to pop the crown and fiddle with it. :)
