why do u like rolex? same reasons why we like pams! I own both and love both. You obviously made this thread to get hate back, I don't have time to hate but have time to love, and I love watches doesn't matter what brand.

I've owned 7 Rolex, 5 Panerai, 2 Zenith, 3 Omega and a few other watches, i've had the new GMT IIC with up to date movement, i've had Panerai with in-house and ETA and in all honesty they all work the same, there is no superior quality or difference.
The most reliable and accurate watch i've ever owned has been a Damasko DA36, it has a standard ETA 2824 movement and was +1 second for all the time i owned it, the watch never gave me an ounce of trouble and cost me £500, that's a tenth of what the GMT IIC TT cost me, and a 14th of what the 233 cost, the difference between the Damasko and the GMT IIC/233, well that's simple, looks, name and resale value, you buy a rolex because you want a rolex, you spend 3k on one and you know you'll get your money back or near as dammit, that's the same with Panerai, you buy it, you wear it, it works and you know that if push comes to shove you can sell it on and buy something else.

As for the OP: I would have thought that as a Rolex wearer you'd have had your fair share of people telling you that what you wear on your wrist is overpriced and "not worth the money" - which effectively seems to be what you're saying about Panerai. How annoyed do you get when people say this to you? How ignorant do they sound to you? How petty do they sound to you? Now take a good look in the mirror.... |

I'm only posting to make the point that I'm not responding
I have both a Rolex and a PAM, I like both and can argue for and against both As Luigi has admitted junk may have been an exageration for effect but both brands have their market and I've always like that the fact that TRF could accommodate fans of a number of makes. I'll move onto the next post now.

Ok Back to the Theme, 95% of all worldwide watches have ETA based movements! Panerai now has their own movements. I wish I can list all the watch manufacturers that Use ETA! Panerais are great watches and you must think before posting because a 45 to 50% of the members here own Panerais, everyone has their own likings I Wish I could have one! Panerais are completely worth the money! And the Innumerable people here like me that wish that they could one a Panerai. Maybe u mistreated those 2 Pannies u had. |
