Speaking of older models

This is one of my favorites. It's a manual-wind ref. 5023 Oyster in 14K pink gold, ca. 1949, all original, AFAIK (the crystal had quite a few scratches when I received it, and didn't quite buff them all out). It's a standard 34mm in size.

The precision (Rolex-speak for manual wind) movement is keeping chronometer-like time within a few seconds/day.

Gold-plated buckle. Not sure if it's original to the watch, however (not sure about the style of coronet for that period).

Currently I have it on this Hirsch Classic Alligator strap (one of my favorites, different sizes of which I also use for a bubbleback and a Seamaster Calendar).

Beautiful classic from a bygone era. These pieces don't seem to get the respect they so richly deserve.

Well done on a beauty.

What a classic beauty! I love the band as well, it has so much character. I'm not sure if it's original to the watch but is sure complements it. I wouldn't change a thing. Stunning.
