Case Replacement

So does anyone know if the quick change strap system malfunctions it results in a case replacement? I just read this and it threw me for a loop. That would be a spendy fix if you're outside of warrantly.

I remember reading about that problem on this forum. I do believe that the strap system was repaired. So no case replacement. Would indeed be a pricey fix outside warranty!

I had a strap changing issue on my 312 and they replaced the case. The 297 I have has the same problem as well. Just sent it in to PASC

If the only way to repair is a case replacement then that would be a surprising design "oversight" I would have thought!

This is kind of scary for quick change systems then. A new case can cost $2K-$3K. I'd imagine it would be the weakest point on the watch. Yikes!

I read on another forum that they are replacing the quick-change systems only now. I'll try and find the post I saw about it.
