Just curious as to when Rolex started etching the words ROLEX on the inside of the bezel on the YACHTMASTER watch. I am going to look at a Z series watch that is for sale nearby and wasn't sure if it should have the etching. Thanks.

My understanding is it was late Z series when it began on the YM.I have a Z model that does not have the engraved rehaut,but understand that others with later Z models do have it.

I bought mine in Dec. 2007 and it's got it.
