I'm just going to tell the truth, I'm addicted to Rolex. Truly a masterpiece.

Because in 1976 when i was 12 I worked for a year to buy a submariner from my brother because everyone in the family had one. Then i had it taken away because i bragged at school. My parents thought they would teach me a lesson and took it away. I never saw it again. I have loved Rolex since then and am about ready to buy again . This one will be a submariner also.

I'm attracted to things mechanical.

I love knowing what time and date it is.

Rolexes are durable and last a life time; I like building up a history with my watches.

It's a status symbol.

No seriously whenever I look around me all these imperfections around me it depresses me and then I looked at the craftsmanship of a Rolex case and dial and it reminds me that there is still that little hope in this imperfect world. It's therapeutic.

Rolex is THE watch for me for a few reasons :

I dont make a lot of money, but what I do buy, I like the best quality and nicest products where possible.
Rolex watches look stunning, are ageless, and have that certain luxury.

However if they did not hold their value I could not afford to buy them and upgrade every so often.

Their biggest plus for me above all else is that if you pick the right model and pay the right price owning Rolex watches is a relatively low-cost hobby as the right watch will always keep its value. I think this is also partly due to Rolex increasing their prices so often.

Cheers,
Nairn
