Do we have any Disc Jockeys in the house?!?!?

With so many fine folks in here with so many different interest from cars to guitars to cycling I can't help but wonder.... any Disc Jockeys? I apologize for the crappy Blackberry pics

Yessir, I've done it, and filled in at parties, but I don't have my own equipment. My buddy is a DJ and sometimes I help him with set up and also step in whenever he needs a break.

DJ'd house and trance for years, mainly in college. Made lots of money :) Sold all my equipment recently, but have been missing around in Traktor for the last few years, mixing for my own pleasure.

It started out as pleasure for me in high school and when I saw how much money it would make me (250-300 per party at that time was A LOT of money) it turned into a business I tried Traktor and didn't really like it. Have you had a chance to use Serato? I swear by that program...it has never let me down

Do you enjoy it Ricky or just never really got into it? I tried to get my brother into it but it never really grew on him.

Interesting. I've never heard of Serato but will check it out.

You going to WMC? I've always wanted to go but never have been.

WMC is a big deal here in Miami complete with a whole festival. If you've never been to the Ultra Music Festival I highly recommend you try to attend at least once. You can download Serato right off of the net however you need to have the interface module for it to work. It's pretty much become the industry standard but is very similar to Traktor.
