White Gold Daytona in UK for SS Daytona

Im considering a White Gold Daytona, White Face, with dark arabic markers and dark sub dial surrounds, red hands. (pic attached)

I know these are a lot easier to get a discount on than the steel models. RRP is £19,500 in the UK. I have seen new ones for c. £14,500 on the net.

I have a SS V-Serial (March 2009) Black Face Daytona (with new clasp) fully boxed, unnamed warranty card etc.

I also have a Breitling Navitimer World, white face with black croc strap (Aug 2009), boxed, papers etc.

Both in great condition, no scratches etc. I would need to trade in both to buy the WG Daytona.

What do you guys think is a good trade in for my two watches and what discount could I get on the new WG watch? So basically what money do you think I would need to put in?

Im working in £sterling for all you guys not in the UK.

Cheers

keep the two watches you have and try and buy the dial you have pictured in your post and get it fitted to your steel cosmo. this way you will not lose money. you then have the look of the white gold watch but the desirability of steel and yes i know the bezels are different, but so what! good luck

Will be interested in the deal if you do it because i am thinking of trading my White face Daytona and DSSD for a white gold Daytona [love the red sub hands]
Your Daytona has to be worth £6000 surely?

Thanks for you comments. Ill have a look at the website.

Id like to think its worth £6k and was offered that when I was first considering it last year.

The meteor face isnt for me.

Anyone else got any thoughts?

couldn`t you see what your local AD would charge to order and fit you the new dial, which is stunning IMHO.

WG Daytona

I know it may be a tough decision, maybe this will help. I made the same decision about a year ago. I traded my SS Daytona and a Breitling Chronograph for a White Gold Daytona with the black face.
I absolutely love the watch and it was well worth it to me. I really enjoy wearing the Wt Gold compared to the SS.
Despite waiting several years for the opportunity to buy the SS and the fact that it is a more desirable model in the minds of most people, I don't think there is any comparison in the way they look. The finish, the presence and the red markers leave the SS looking a little plain (i.m.h.o.). This is coming from someone who couldn't wait to get my SS Daytona and enjoyed it immensely while I had it.
If the WG is going to be your 'daily wear' I might not do the deal as the SS is a tougher watch. If you have other watches, I would say "Enjoy your new WG".
