Bank wire is the safest I have heard but there is more than one kind and I'm not sure which kind to avoid. Bank Transfer doesn't protest the buyer but it protects the seller. Maybe a Bank Transfer while your F2F at a Bank would be best (with the watch on hand)? Cash is good but I'm not sure how you would arrange a F2F cash exchange without the A Team there to keep things on the level. Even at a bank there was an incident posted where someone was robbed inside the bank. Perhaps if you had someone waiting outside the bank that is armed just in case they grab and dash out the door. A local police officer would be a plus.

It all boils down to know your seller, his references, his time in selling Rolex watches. You need to be able to call him and talk to him, the seller has to be able to go to a AD and have the buyer authenticate the Rolex if need be, to keep the buyer from having to worry about the sale. I would never buy from Ebay, the reason is I do not know squat about the sellers and the feedback does not mean squat anymore. After being on TRF, the only sellers I would be able to plop down cash and not worry about is:
bodybump r-l-x DAVIDSW Mosco stevemulholland3 All other sellers on Ebay and TRF, I do not know about and I am not saying they are bad or good, it is just these five people always come up time and time again as being a good seller with the buyer in mind to keep them happy and leaving with a warm fuzzy feeling inside them not having to worry about the Rolex watch they bought. All five are solid sellers on TRF and no worries in buying from them. The Troll who was trying to scam TRF members was not going to a AD to have the Rolex authenticated, which means he is trying to pull a scam on someone. I doubt he has the watches or he has fake watches. He would not meet face to face for a deal at a AD, now that is a big big big red flag. |

I LOVE reading these!
You need a TRF vs Scammers scoreboard as a sticky or something at the beginning of this section of the forum showing the good guys winning. Thanks for all your behind the scenes work!
