Daytona question

Does anyone start the cosmograph and let it run in synch with the second hand?
If so, what’s the reserve with it running all the time?

I can't see any good reason to try to sync the sub-dial with the main sweep dial..

But, I suppose that that's another thing that makes the hobby interesting...

You can expect to lose 10% with the sweep running............

There's something beautiful about a sweeping hand.

I'm looking to pick a Daytona soon and thinking of doing exactly this...I just like seeing the hand sweep round. Yes you have the small sub dial second hand but not big enough to enjoy the sweep.

I wonder if it has a detrimental effect on wear and tear of the movement.

I do this all the time with my Breitling. For just the same reason as you do.
Have a nice day my friend

i'm wondering the same thing about additional wear and tear. is doing this bad? i would assume it's not good.
