Life

I don't know if anyone else has been watching "Life" on Discovery, it is a BBC production. It is the sequel to the "Planet Earth" series. It is FANTASTIC.

And I can pretend to be JJ and give a review, I give it a 5 out of 5 stars!

The last three episodes were tonight. I love these BBC series! They do such a great job. I am going to buy the DVD's when they come out. I have "Planet Earth" and "Life in Cold Blood" all fascinating series and refreshing compared to the usual garbage that is on the TV.

If you haven't yet seen it, the series is on Discovery and it has been airing on Sunday nights, you can just set your DVR to record the series. Well worth the watch!

We have also been watching the "Band of Brothers" sequel on HBO called "The Pacific" and that has been good too, not quite as good as "Band of Brothers"

Yes, watching it right now. They're showing how they were able to get the footage, it's amazing.

Yeah, fairly new addition.

6 months? I would be pretty annoyed.

Being from Louisiana, I figured you'd be watching "Treme" as well. The second episode aired last night. It's fantastic.

David Simon (creator of "The Wire") also did this one. Great music and culture. The period is 3 weeks after Katrina.

Actually, having lived through Katrina and dealing with the aftermath, working exhausting hours in a local shelter and seeing everything first hand...I have absolutely no desire to watch anything even related to Katrina.

Houma was one of the nearest towns to New Orleans that could accomodate people immediately after the storm...so for two weeks after Katrina, I basically lived the nightmare.....frankly I try to block it out.

It actually doesn't show devastation, etc...

It follows the music and carnival culture, and the lives of the people as they slowly breathe life back into the things that make the city special.
