Rolex at the AMA Superbike race...

...Road Atlanta to be exact for the Suzuki AMA Superbike Showdown this past Sunday April 18th.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I've lived in Atlanta some time now and this was my first trip to the track about 40 miles north of downtown Atlanta.

What a track!!

2.5 miles of rolling turns and hills in the lush forest. It's a spectators paradise too: $40 bucks + $10 for your wheels and you're free to drive the entire course and camp, sit down, or pull up and watch the action. I will be back! I was envious of the guys with their RVs, grills, and satellite tvs all setup under the RV awning and an ATV to scoot around! I hear the Le Mans race in SEPT is a must see. ATL GTG anyone?!

Spotted a SS Daytona (were any of you guys there too?!) and a Hublot Big Bang in the wild....

Here's a couple of IPhone pics of my GMT enjoying the action on turns 9/10...

I have been dying to get back on the track this year, but haven't found the time to. Looks like a nice track

Is this the last year for AMA? I've only heard rumors, but do to funds, or lack of, this will be the last year.

Can anyone confirm this?
