Right or Left

Well i am new here, so i would assume that this topic has been attacked but i can not find it so I Figure might be a nice topic.

Do you were on the Right wrist, or left wrist inside or out and why?

me personally i wear on my left I am right handed, it started when i was a child my dad told me that my wallet goes in my right ass pocket and watch goes on my left wrist, as i grew up it proved good advise cause of my profession dealing with weapons i never wore jewelery on my right to avoid any snags but have watched those who did not get the advise get fumbled. when i work outside now i wear the face on the inside of my wrist but all other times it is outside i sit at a desk a lot now so i could tear up a plastic crystal if i did not change it.

Left dial up for everyday wearing but when underwater always wore watch dial up on right hand.

I'm right handed and I wear on my right. My clasps tend to get marked up more because of it but watches are meant to be worn right!

I am mostly left handed but right handed as well and my timepieces go on the left wrist. Perhaps up to a few times a year I might wear with the dial face inside my wrist depending what i might be doing.

But thinking that there is an advantage wearing it on right hand as the 3 o'clock crown will not hit your hand when you are walking

Left & up. I wanted to do Right & up to avoid the callous on my hand from my sub's crown, but it just didn't feel right (no pun intended). I also felt like I knocked my sub on walls more when it was on my right hand.

But from time to time I like to experiment an "a la Mc Queen" style carry: A Sub on the right hand up dial.
Anyway, I can´t get completely accustomed to this way of wearing after more than 50 years of left hand carry since I was a boy.

Also, I find that being right handed, wearing a watch on the strong hand means lots of extra bumpling a watch. At least for me!

Always left hand... i am a righty. It just feel more natural this way. Plus less chance to bang the watch i guess....

Left and up. Mostly right handed, I do a few things with the left.

Always wore my watches on the left hand, I believe that if I was left handed, I would still hear on the left.

I am ambidextrous and wear my watch on my left wrist and the dial is on the underside of the wrist!!!

I am a right wrist wearer....but I am right handed.....we are in the minority for sure.....long story....my Dad wore his watch on the right wrist when I got my first watch....I copied him, my brother followed suit......my boys all wear on the right wrist too, copying me.....now would you believe my Dad changed back and now wears on the left leaving us all looking odd!!!!.....who cares really....

One thing I have found out though recently is that when you first wear a Chrono and do so on your right wrist, it is difficult to use it without taking it off.......hard to un-screw and then re-tighten the Chrono pushers with your left hand over the top of the watch......must be ten times easier if the watch is on your left wrist, the pushers are open to your right hand and if you are right handed, very easy to manipulate them......there you go, recent personal experience

Since i wrote this morning i found more reasons why left is right ( lol ) i tried to work the crown with it facing the inside and just felt weird where as even though i have permanent crown marks on the back of my hand its not so awkward

I've always thought that watches are designed to be worn that way so that you can wind/adjust them without removing them from your wrist.

IBT for right handers, a watch is meant to be worn on the left and facing up as that gives one access to all of the knobs and buttons on the watch with the right; it's very akward to try and manipulate the controls while wearing on the right; try it... YMMV

Also as a right hander it is definately more convenient to look upon my left wrist while the right is engaged in whatever activity it's currently engaged in. And as a competitor, the less things on my right the better as it would increase the chances of snagging or somehow not aligning items properly on that side if something got in the way of the required repeatable grip. Once again, YMMV

Right arm face up I am a south paw. I tried the left arm face up for while and didnt like the crown digging in my hand

Right Handed - Wear watches on my right. If I wear anything on my left i'm likely to feel un-balanced and fall over (not drunk)

I have a tattoo on my right wrist as well and for some reason getting even that on my left would feel totally alien to me.

I'm sure there's some science behind it!!
