As far as I know, Rolex makes only one watch DIAL with a solid precious metal - the SS/Pt. YM which is fitted with a 950 grade solid Platinum dial. Now a green gold dial would be a welcome change.

JJ
Well myself cannot see how the dial can be solid gold, for places like the UK you cannot say anything is gold unless the whole watch is solid gold.Hence the terms Rolesor for watches mixed metal gold SS now they could say green Rolesor dial but could not advertise it as gold, and for SS and Platinum dial, plus bezel the term Rolesium .

The dial is not solid gold. Per the June issue of Watch Time, the dial is a blend of yellow-gold powder and aluminum powder.

Expect 99% aluminium and 1% gold

Never seen the Shrek or Hulk in the flesh ( Who has ? ) I'm not a fan of the LV anyway , but if I had to chose I think I still would go with the old LV

For me versatility goes to the 16610LV. Changing the insert gives options.

I do think the new version will have quite a following.

Not sure if this is true but an AD told me today that the new LV was actually designed to cater more to women. Apparently some really influential woman (I think he said she was related to some high up exec @ Rolex) made design suggestions for the green dial. Anyway, I guess this is how rumours get started!
