Buying used: Wingates, Demesy or ???

I'm going to buy a 16200 (the 116200 is outside my price range). These rarely if ever come up for sale here so I'm looking at the used retailers. I want one freshly reconditioned and serviced, too. Cayce (www.preownedrolex.com) doesn't have anything, either.

Who is my best bet: Demesy, Capetown, Wingates, Wannabuyawatch, etc.? Searches didn't turn up anything conclusive on any of them.

I've bought from SwissLuxury and DeMesy, but your best bet is to wait until you find the one you want from one of the great sellers here! Good luck!

Is SwissLuxury legit? Did you have a smooth transaction with them?

Funny...I am considering sites like these as well for a 70s 80s DJ vs trf. Don't see 'em too often here.

I just bought from Capetown. I was very happy with them.

Pat from Wingates is very knowledgeable, I have dealt with them in the past and the service is excellent. They are constantly at watch shows trying to score some of the older/more unique pieces from different watchmakers (as Pat has mentioned to me when I have dealt with them)

Good luck!

Pricing at WBAW is strong, but Ken is a stand up guy. As stated Wingates is likewise very good. I think there photos leave a bit to be desired, but all questions are answered when you talk to them.

I have used both in the past. I would give Capetown a try the next time because the sales tax in Texas.
