292 non pig vs SS Daytona

Well I went to my AD today and put my order for the SS Daytona black... He said it'll take him anywhere from 2-4 months to get one for me. He does bring up another Grail type watch... The 292!

Now what??

Input, fellas?

Joey..you are just making your own life tough...

its really your call...how long have you wanted a daytona..and tough call it is...

in this case...I still would do the daytona..I think its a bit more verstile watch...dressed up or down...ceramic case is cool..but still more casual...it would be my 2nd Rad..first would be a 190/232/346...But that is me...

I am also going to be the movement snob since the 292 has ETA like the 210 and is the ceramic case really really worth the premium?...and versus the Daytona?

I love to be in your position...

Daytona all day everyday.

LOVE the 292, but the Daytona is the constant and always a strong piece. 292's can be had, I saw at the BHB boutique last week.

to me, they are very different watch. its like you ask me if i like apple or oranges.

I am not in the market for a Daytona, so I would say 292 all day long

But if people ask me to pick one for them, and if they will buy based on my suggestion, then I would say Daytona.

I am a fan of PAM, but IMO, the Daytona is just more watch for the money :p

I really dont know what to do. I had the Daytona in my sights for a few weeks now and even gave my sales guy my credit card for a straight up charge at the point of arrival.

However, this 292 definitely throws a wrench in my plans. If I get this, I'm going to be some time away from a Daytona...

... but the 292 is definitely a beauty!!

I would go 292, personally I think SS Modern Daytonas are a little played out. But that's just me. Both are nice watches, but right now I'd rather have the 292. Just my 2 cents.

Looking at your current list in your signature: I would trade in the 312K and Milgauss GV and pick up both the Daytona and 292! Keep the Sub as your tool watch!

The 312 is pending sale.... I had about 5 buyers interested and 4 are in line to buy it. It's a good watch methinks.

The 292... still tossing/turning here....

Joey...read your thread on P.com..what's the verdict?
I think at list..its not a good deal..there are 292 at under $8k and actually I have seen some approaching low $7k..there was one for $6800

Good advice. The 292 at MSRP is not a good deal. Grey dealers are selling them for about $7400.

Tough one. Get one and save for the other. Both are great!

Wow... just realized the thread is 2 months old already... my bad.

I own 3 ss daytonas as well as 292 and there really is no comparison in my opinion. The 292 gets worn frequently the daytonas rarely. The 292 just works well. It has become my go to watch.

Well, he does have the Daytona now. I don't think Joey is even a PAM guy anymore...He'll probably be back though.
