Fathers day and no one noticed my watch.
So we have a regular Sunday morning trail running group that goes to coffee afterwards. Today was a few generations as Dads, wives who run, then we met with non-running kids, and even one grandson.
I wore my "new to me" LV with the green bezel to see if anyone would notice as I've been debating on whether to change the insert to black or leave the green on. Here's the total number of comments ....... 0 No one noticed the watch at all..... pretty much the same results that I've gotten with all of my watches or the past few decades. I'm thinking that other than us WIS obsessives, there's another world out there. I even noticed that my brother in law doesn't wear a watch at all. Can you imagine? |

Nobody ever notices my watches except watch people--as long as you know it is on and can admire it--that is all that matters!! Cheers and happy fathers' day!

I'm not looking for attention. What I was looking to see is if anyone would remark on a green bezel insert as opposed to the more common color of black that most people equate with a dive watch.

A good stripper will notice your watch a mile away.
So if you are looking for compliments, head to a local bar. (I am such a bad influence. )

Since I had my LV, only one guy gave me compliment for this watch.... but I still love my LV nonetheless.

I get more compliments on my hat than I do my watch.

The other guys are on other threads wondering why you didn't comment on their new running shoes, and bullet proof water bottles.... No worries..Your watch takes the cake!

I'm actually more happy when people *don't* notice my watch. I enjoy looking at my watch, but don't really invite comments unless they are coming from watch enthusiasts that can carry on a lively conversation, vs. a family member or friend commenting, "what, another fancy watch?"

Kind of the opposite...my husband didn't wear his Sub today, and instead wore a cheaper watch. I sure as heck noticed, and ribbed him about it. The Sub would have nicely matched the fine cigar he smoked and fine whiskey he drank.

Now, if I'm running in a neighborhood that requires a bullet proof water bottle, I'm definitely wearing my running shoes, and NOT my Rolex. |

Buy a Panerai the ammount of times I've been told thats a nice big watch.

My ceramic tt sub gets noticed all the time.
Just recently I was having dinner and I caught the waitress starring at my watch three times while taking my order! The coke on the other hand is "just another watch" it seems. |
