Second close up is the best from the technical point of view.

What camera are you using and how many mp is it?

I used a Canon SD700 IS 6mp for the above pic's,
I am still trying to figure out how to use the menu functions on the Canon G7.
I also have to come up with a better lighting system, currently I am shooting with just regular inside house bulbs.
