I've got a May 06 price list that says $4,450 USD. Don't know if that's still accurate.

I am thinking about getting rid of my 112H and picking up a 104. I prefer automatics. The only thing telling me no is that I really love the sandwich dial of the 112.
Anyone know if the difference in case thickness between the 112 and 104 (or similar comparison)? I assume that the 112 case is thinner than the 104 because of the flat clear back? Major or noticeable difference? |

I had the 104 and a couple bases. The cases are the same, sublte difference is the 104 has a polished crown guard

86 is cool, but she does not smile at me....looking at more and more pams, i finally figured out what drew me to the 88, its the skeleton hands! the glass back ones are really cool as well.

I need to see an 86 in person before I make a decision. The 88 is cool, but a little too busy for my tastes as is the 90. Man, I am all over the place :(

I did this 3 (the 44mm thing freaked me out) times before even buying the watch so now the waiting game begins. I am after a 111 or 112 or 000 or 005 I am at a point that I dont care which one comes to the AD first...just give me the darn PAM My AD got a 104 in today but I am sticking to the plan of getting something more Historical/Base/Marina/Logo etc I dont mind winding a watch everyday thats not a big deal. The 104 retails for $6300AU and a 112 $5200 - just to give you an idea. |

amanda,
you are a true paneristi! those are some very favorable watches: for me im now looking at the 104 or 005 though the 112 would look really nice with the 88. Im going to take a trip down to beverly hills tommorrow to the op boutique, do they sell straps there are under $200 usd?

No pam is a bad choice, but Mike, if you have the 88, and like the sammy dial, what about the 210 as an alternative? Sammy dial, base... But in a Radiomir case!
BTW... Still LOVING my PAM01B! |

MAn I know exactly how you feel. Pam90 is beautiful. At first I just wanted a panerai. So I was deceiding on a 112, 005, and 111. Then I saw the 104 and I was like this is perfect...has a date and its auto...a little less plain than the base models. But then I went to OP in BH and saw the 90 I was in love. But it cost too much for me right now. So I bought a 104h from paneristi at $3850 . I like it but its too big on my 6.5in wrist. So now Im selling the 104 and looking into a 40mm pam48. Ill post pics later.
But the pam090 is freakin nice. |

is the 112 a manual wind? and do manual winds use the v 7750 movement? i did the wobble in the gmt but i may need to go with a manual wind with a sandwich dial and display rear case for my next pam. i was on the fence for a while about going without a date, but who cares, thats what a cell phone is for right? interested in: pam 111 is looking really good right now btw what are the major differences between the 111 and 112 beside the sandwich dial on the 111? radiomir cases dont do anything for me....i think its the thickness in teh case Quote:
90 is a beauty, if i had my way i would get 111 and 90 but thats some serious coin!

The 112 is manual wind(as well as the 111). Panerai manual winds use an ETA based movement and have no wobble. I dig the wobble of the v7750 movement.
The 112 has no seconds hand and the 111 has a seconds hand. I am in the opposite boat. I have a 112 and want an automatic, ie, 104. I prefer automatics over manual winds. I really like the sandwhich dial, brushed crown guard and clean dial of the 112. The 104 is pretty clean for an automatic watch. If they made a 104 with a brushed case and sandwhich dial, I'd be all over it!!! I can only have one Panerai tight now. A little dilemma for me :) I don't dig Rads either. Don't like the case style. FYI while techically I guess the movement could be considered ETA, it's more precisely a Unitas 64XX type, that was originally designed for pocket watches, some 50+ years ago.
Panerai strips the movements down and does a little tweaking to increase the power reserve up to 56 hours (from 44) and add the swans neck regulator to make regulation more precise. Also, the 112 does have a sandwich dial with a display back but the 00Logo (also a base) comes with a painted dial with a SS caseback... just to confuse your decision making further. |

It only gets worse.
The subtle differences are very cool. Even from my 000/005 Now someone around here ( ahem Atomic) has put a bee in my head about a 190. Again different from my 210. Dang decisions
