Adjust or not ?

I own a stainless Rolex Datejust which I acquired about 4 years ago. I don't know exactly how old this Rolex is as I bought it from a dealer friend of mine who is a Rolex certified repair person. About 2 years ago I had him do a total cleaning etc. of the watch. This Rolex has from day one always run about 30 seconds fast every 5 or 6 days. Is this normal or should it be taken in for further adjustment? Any advice you can offer will be appreciated. I am thinking about sending it to the Rolex service centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Thanks

Your watch should run around 2 seconds fast or slow each day... I think that 30 seconds a week is too fast and it could do much better than that..

If you had it cleaned and oiled a couple of years ago there is no need to send it to the RSC. They will insist on a full service before they do anything else and all your watch needs is to be regulated..

Take it to a reputable Dealer with a watchmaker on staff and have it regulated.... This watchmaker should be able to tell you if your friend has done a good job previously or not...........

Larry (or others)
What is a fair cost to have a watch regulated?

If I end up having to send this Rolex in for service, is there someone on this forum that you would recommend (in Canada)? Thanks again.

I would take it to my local watch tinkerer and have it regulated.
