Rolex band question, auth or no?
I currently own a vintage 86' Datejust, where the two halfs of the deployment clasp meet, there is a pin. This pin on all new Rolex models is capped/finished.. On a lot of vintage pics and on my Datejust it is not finished quite the same/at all.
Did they not finish older pins? The Rolex Report just says 'Fake' and little else on the matter.. but I would be amazed at how many fake bracelets are about! I also just purchased a 91' Explorer that seems to have the same thing going on... Please advise :) Last edited by LordNinja; 4 August 2010 at 10:27 AM.. Reason: Forgot contact pref. |

Some have it some don't.. many people stressing AUTH and yet... Naturally it's a concern for me because I own two.. I get conflicting reports. I've seen them capped and uncapped on both styles of bracelets too.. I'm hoping it's date related.

I have a 1986 and a 1988....they both have the non-finished pins...both bought new from an AD.....no worries there
