Gave up on IPHONE 4

This thing is a complete disaster I have had it a month and finaly bit the bullet and switched back to 3gs. This is the worst apple product probably ever manufactured. STAY AWAY FROM IPHONE 4

It is a real shame becuse this would have been my fourth iphone and to be honest the android is looking far better then the 4 and has gotten good reviews as opposed to the Icrap 4 which cannot do the simplest of things like make a call without calling 10 other people or hanging up on someone because the sensor that makes the screen go black while on a call is a piece of garbage. Apple should be ashamed for letting this thing come to market apple fanboy I think not i am boycoting after this one.

2 of the 5 I bought last month have failed. #6 decided not to "upgrade" after letting the early adopters suffer.

I need a 4chan gif!!

I get a dropped call here and there. Other than that, I love my iPhone 4.

Something else must be wrong, Chris. I have several friends that have an iPhone 4, and none of them are experiencing any of these problems. Have you checked with Apple and/or AT&T about your issues?

I agree, I think it's a dodgy phone, I have a iPhone 4 and could not be more delighted.

Thank you for posting this. I am a 3GS user and just can not afford to have a problem phone. Reading sincere posts of real world use is great.

FWIW, my first iPhone was the 3G that I purchased in July 2008. iPhone OS 2 was not stable and had poor reliabilty when it first came out IMHO. It wasn't until Sept/Oct 2008 that Apple got the bugs out. I can't remember if it was 2.1 or 2.2 that fixed major issues. Hopefully Apple will get the bugs out of 4.0.

X2.

Luckily my phone never had the yellow screen issue, the screen shutting off, still thinking it was being held to your head, etc.
The only issue my Iphone 4 has is the dropped bars when held on "X marks the spot". Other than that I am very happy with my iPhone 4. Still waiting on my Otter Box Defender series case to arrive. (It's delayed 14 days due to production issues).
I JUST sold my 3G for $60 more than I paid for it, so I'm a VERY happy camper :)

I handed down my 3GS to my wife. It is her first smart phone and she loves it.

For her first smart phone, I bet she does !
My mom has Verizon and I'm trying to convince her to get the new Droid X. She's never had a smart phone either, she still has the older flip phone :)

Mine went back after 2 weeks. I'll wait until the fix the quirks in the production process incl a major software update. Antenna + proximity sensor issues. Dropped calls.

My wife had an LG Neon. Basically a messaging phone. I was able to swap out my 3GS for a new one at the Genius bar just before the 1 year warranty ran out, so she got a fresh iPhone 3GS :) She always wanted a smartphone, but could not see paying $30 a month for the data plan. I was syked with at&t announced the new data plans. She has the 200mb plan for $15.
