Taking a second look at it, the only thing I can think of is the consoles from Star Trek: The Next Generation. Those bars even look like the transporter controls!

So we have the console ready now we just need the transporter and let the fun begin!

Blimey. I used to do a bit on the 1200's a few years ago and even get wheeled out now and again these days. I never managed to mix on CD and can still only do vinyl let alone the setup on video. Great post, cheers Oscar
