I loved it on my gmt IIc but It is hard to see on my deepsea. I was one that hated the ring lock writing on the deepsea, too thick, too small of bracelet. Guess what I tried it and loved it, bought one! Now I love the thickness the perfect sized bracelet with glide lock clasp.
Now all deepsea owners and me will tell u that the ring lock writing is subtle and I don't even notice it. I actually like that it is there. I have flipped a coke gmt and a ss gmt IIc but this deepsea is a keeper for life! Where my deepsea brothers at?

It's generally unnoticeable, but it's just so silly.

I like it and would choose a watch with it over one without.

I like it since it makes the watches one step more difficult counterfeit.
Some of my watches have it, some do not, I never really notice it. It is my understanding the English translation of "rehaut" is "flange". |

When I bought my Explorer, I made clear that I did not want an engraved rehaut, though I'm not sure that it had been added to the Explorer line at that time.
Over time though, it has become pretty much of a non-issue. It's not ostentatious and neither adds nor distracts from the beauty of the watch. |

I have it on my Sub Pat and I don't dislike it. I think it's a nice touch...and no more need to remove bracelet to get to the serial #.

It is a nice touch, although it looks equally as nice without it.

What's not to like?
...Added as a another means to thwart the counterfeiters...which they quickly adopted!
IMHO it's so subtle as to be almost unnoticeable in most average lighting conditions. I really have to have my Rolexes under bright lighting or at the right angle to even really be aware of it. I like details and touches like this. Besides, it gave us a good topic when we were trying to figure out "How many crowns are on your Rolex?" over in the bar! --Paul

Depends on the model, my Explorer does not have it and I like it that way. Other models I like it better.
