I've tried TT and it's just not for me. Prefer all steel or all gold!

I say if you are an old dude, then get the TT.
If you are young and still have hair, go SS. |

TT is the cancer of the watch world, like mixing coffee and tea, or designing the porsche SUV cayenne... god help us all

I love my TT blue sub - in the fashion industry here in Denmark many guys are now turning towards gold watches and SG. I think they will be 'in' again very soon. I am 35 years old and I was thinking that I might be too young for a gold watch, but I really like it and I don't think its 'too much' bling bling. I wear a suit at work and its just a great combination.
I feel in love with the 16613 when I saw one in Palma, Mallorca.. Lovely watch in a lovely place.. Got to have one.. |

I love TT, for me it will always be "in" and the perfect business-casual watch, it can be worn with a nice BOSS suit or with a pair of TopSiders and a pair of seersucker shorts. It's the best of both worlds.

I think TT is fine but if you don't like simply don't get it. No one is forcing the watch upon you. Say that I myself prefer all gold if possible. If it's not an option or doesn't look good to me (all gold sub) I'll go for a TT. Also with the comments saying that gold is for old guys, I'll like to respectfully disagree. No one notices my watches in TT or SS but in less than a week of wearing my YG DD ive received many compliments on how beautiful the watch is, I'm only 18.

Was never a TT fan but recently I have startd to love the TT Blue Sub (the old version), TT Daytona was almost on my wrist until I got the call for the SS Daytona and I am having an internal debate whether next on my list is the Milgauss GV or TT DJ with slate dial and Green Roman Numerals - I saw this one at an AD last week and I think the TT makes it so classy. If they would just make it with a domed bezel, I am sure it would go to #1 on the must have next list.
Just my thougths. -Pete

TTs are definitely an acquired taste. It takes time and maturity to really appreciate one of these. It can look tacky and cheap when the rest of the person/attire does not go with it! I love TTs.

TT is much better than all gold, especially on larger watches. I'll never own a TT unless someone gives one to me, and then I'd flip it for something SS.
IMO SS and WG are always "in." |

Yes, require mine for work, only problem with my Exp II is I can't display a third time zone unlike the GMT's with a rotating bezel.
Still very in for me, cheers. |

I was never very attracted to TT, but I've recently begun to appreciate them. It wasn't until a TT Yachtmaster caught my eye that I decided to own one. I don't wear it often, but with the right attire (as pradeep said above), it works very well. It isn't as much about the age of the person wearing it, but the maturity level and attire with which they pull it off, IMHO.

There's really only a few TT that I like... though I prefer all steel, all plat, or all gold.

for me, TT will always be in, they are "flexible", you can go formal looking or casual looking and i like to buy watch with some gold as Rolex tends to be pricey, hence, having some gold makes me easier to justify my purchase rather than all SS...
