I know it's a very personal choice but I'm torn...so I want to hear your thoughts. I have a couple of options:

#1: Flip my Zenith Daytona + some cash for a full set DRSD in PRISTINE condition. That would leave me with the DRSD, my Sub and AK.

or

#2: Take that same cash amount in #1 and buy a Patrizzi Daytona w/ service papers from 2009 also in pristine condition. That would leave me with the 2 Zenith Daytonas, the Sub and the AK.

OR

#3: Flip my entire "collection" + the cash sum from above (with more added in) for a Daytona 6263. This would leave me with just the 6263 and nothing else.

The 1st 2 offers I have in front of me today, but the 3rd would mean waiting until the "right" opportunity presented itself.

What would you do if you were in my shoes?

How about keep the daytona, sell the sub and AK and add even more cash for the DRSD? The daytona and SD would make a sick 1 - 2 punch.

Out of the options listed I would do #2 as you seem to love daytonas. #3 has too much cake in 1 watch for me. #1 would be my second choice but you'd be left sans daytona.

Keep all your watches....save up & get a pepsi GMT or explorer...it will round out your collection....if you don't have to...never decrease your amount of Rolexes....remember the watch curmudgeon's mantra....he who dies w/ the most Rolexes wins!!!!!

Lol.. the problem with flipping the AK and Sub is the resale on both - I'd have to almost double my cash amount to get it!!

Damn I hate this!! I'm going to kill some brain cells (drink mass quantities of beers) tonight thinking on this decisions!

Yazo I think # 1 choice is quite nice.

I don't think you will get much in cash for the Air King + Sub, the Zenith Daytona is more desirable and therefore should give you at least 40-45% of the asking price of the DRSD.

6263 is nice but all the great ones are mighty expensive.

Number 1, then if a 6263 comes up flip your DRSD and get that.

I prefer the DRSD over the Pat Daytona anyday. Its vintage, and if complete with box papers, etc...its the MUCH better long term bet for resale. The vintage daytona is always an option in the future...get the DRSD, work on selling the Sub and AK for the "right" price and put that $$ away for the Vintage Daytona...

This is what I'm thinking... get the DRSD for now - it leaves me with a NICE watch and a daily wearer... then next year I can grab the 6263...then a 1655... then a red 1680... then a 5512.... then a 1019... then a... damn this is an expensive hobby!!!

LOL!! The problem with that is I'd have to wait until October to do that (bonus again) and I'm not sure I'll run into the deal on this DRSD again... the full set is HARD to come by.

But then the Patrizzi is a good deal too... the price I'm getting on it is the lowest I've seen... plus it has the provinence to go with it.... it'd be nice to have 2 rare Zenith Movement Daytonas....
