Diving with a TT SUB-C
Anyone experience (sea) diving with a TT SUb-C?
I;ve been told that the gold is not suitable for diving? true or false?

If gold was not suitable for a dive watch I would doubt if Rolex would make them.Gold and the TT have the same specification to be rated to 300m as the s.steel.And exactly the same for all oyster watches just wash in fresh water after salt or pool.

Should not be a problem.....but some say avoid wearing anything sparkling during your dive as some curious fish might have an idea to taste it!!!

Thanks everyone, I'm from the Netherlands, and a (proud) owner of a new 116613LB.
My first Rolex watch!  @the KING, Ok that would be a problem...., I often go diving in Egypt, the question now is with or without the TT SUB-c....?

Congrats on the new Sub, wear it in good health.
The Gold is even more resistant to corrosion than the 904 steel, no worries about the ocean there.

Welcome to TRF Tarik! You can dive with your TT Sub no problem, as long as you don't go below 300 M's, then you'll need a DSSD!

No problem. With the blue dial it can be a little harder to tell the time, because of the lesser contrast between the gold hands and the blue dial. The black version is much easier under water.

Gold and saltwater is no problem. Just think of the many gold treasures that have been salvaged. They look like the day they sank, centuries ago.

I believe that any Submariner is designed for a salt water environment. A fresh water rinse after your dive should keep it looking like new. |
