This is an old picture, but you can gauge the size (39mm MkII Vantage) relative to some common Rolex models. |

New explorer
Just taken delivery of my new explorer and love it....think the size is great as 36mm just felt too small for me. Like you spent ages deciding but very happy. Getting slightly fed up with a lot of people moaning about the hands issue, Rolex know what they are doing it is VERY elegant, the lines and finish of the watch are gorgeous and sits beautifully on the wrist :)

Rolex Explorer I New 39mm 2010 Model
Pic attached, not a very good one, but great cameras play second best to great watches :)

It might be next to the Submariner as one of the best watches ever made by Rolex!
I love the simple, harmonious face, just perfect! Do you guys know if its still available in 36mm? I have a 7.70" wrist, and don't know if it will look good on me, or should I wait for the new 39mm to roll out? Definitely my next Rolex! |

The new explorer looks great, but I'm not a fan of the shorter hands.
