Am planning to buy a new GMT Master IIC but currently am having a hard time which to choose. Both TT and SS looks great on a GMT Master IIC. Can people here give me some inputs? Thanks.

SS for a good, solid every day discrete watch. TT for something that is just as good but is nowhere near as discrete. I tried on a TT and it was too flash, too "Look! I'm a Rolex!" for me But each to their own. You'll be very happy with either :-)

Apart from the ss/tt difference in weight 140grams/165grams the watches are the same size. The TT is not heavy on the wrist when sized correctly and the easylink gives some quick adjustment on both models.
The gold PCL's will mark very easily but are also easy to polish back up.

IMO if you want a everyday wearer go for the SS model.

Best worn casually with a nice cigar and a Becks.

TT all the way, I love mine.

I don't think the TT is to flash at all. I can see your point with the blue face but not so much with the black.

SS I personally don't like two tone watches. For me it would only be gold if I could go whole hog.

Since you are thinking about both I will just pony up the few extra bucks and get the TT. I had the same dilemma a few months ago when I bought the 116710 sold that to get the 116713 then sold that to acquire my grail the 116718... You can't go wrong either way... This is just my input.

I think the TT version of this watch is exceptional and an instance when everything just works beautifully. Of all the TT models out there, I think the GMTIIC is my favorite (and this comes from a 16613 owner). However, an earlier poster is correct about resell as there are alot of people who just aren't interested in anything other than a stainless sport watch. That being said, if you love the TT and flipping this at some point is not a consideration, then go for it - you WILL be thrilled.
