After much debate... I consolidated my collection and went after my 1 true grail...
If you guys will take a trip down memory lane with me and remember this thread I made a while back:
Would you give up your entire collection for your 1 true grail? Well... I'm happy to report that I did... and the outcome has me happy and excited as heck!!! After months of searching I finally found a PRISTINE condition Panda "Big Red" 6263... a FULL FULL FULL set!!! Punched papers with original box, and the hang tag with matching serial numbers!!! I took it down to a vintage Rolex shop in Georgetown to have it appraised/looked at/verified and they agreed.. it's quite the piece and I got a GREAT deal on it!! This will be the last decision I make by myself for this amount of $$ as I am getting married in under 20 days... they say a crown for every achievement.. well... this is it... my crown for closing out my single life and beginning anew with the person I love most on this planet. Since this is my 1st foray into the world of vintage I ended up bugging the heck out of quite a few people on here with PM's to assist me in validating and verifying pictures of potential watches. I wanted to thank those people for putting up with my annoying PM's: Beaumont Miller II, mike, stevemulholland3, jedly1, and last but not least oscar aka bodybump (he caught the brunt of my frantic txt's/PM's at midnight but was more than willing to help everytime I reached out) In all honesty, w/o their help and guidance I would have ended up making a bad decision. People on here are so willing to help others out... TRF really amazes me everyday!! It's TRULY a family here and one that I am PROUD to say I am a part of. So with no further adieu... straight to the meat of it: everyone!!!!! |

That is beautiful. Congratulations. And good luck with your marriage. I truly appreciate what you said in your original post. That was that you will be with the one you truly love.
