My perfect(ly practical) watch for everyday wear ... ? (Ball content)
From a practical point of view, the watch looks like a perfect daily wear:
Isn't that what we want for a great daily wear? :-) The 18.3mm height may be a little much for a lot of people, but the contour case lugs help a lot on hiding the height on the wrist and make it comfortable / manageable to wear. A bad cell phone pic for now: |

Looks pretty nice! I spent some quality time browsing Ball's website a few months back, and they have some cool watches. I like the Engineer Hydrocarbon line. I would never need that kind of cold resistance, but it's fun to pretend that I would.

Nice. I checked them out at Topper when I lived in Palo Alto.
How about a lume shot?

Always thought the Ball watches were very unique looking. Plus the lume is incredible with the gas tubes. they tend to be tough as nails too!

More pix :D
Dial: Nice detail. IMO, its busy, but not so busy that you can't tell the time. I also like the date/day feature a lot. The pic was taken right when the date begins to change. Locking crown lever: That's Ball EHC's signature feature. I wouldn't say its for show, cause it does make sure the crown is screwed down when you lock the lever, no mistake about it and no more "I forgot to screw in the crown before going into the water". And the big crown actuall made it easy to set the time and date. And the "RR" (Rail Road) signed crown relates to the history of Ball watches. Layers: Not a lot of space for each layer of tubes to run pass each other. Caseback: Caseback is dome to house the V7750 movement, and there should be an anti-magnetic cover as well. Clasps: "RR" signed clasps with nice detail. The clasps is nice and thick, and have nice details to it. Lume shot: This is what tritium tubes are all about. Though its kind of busy, I still found it quite easy to locate the hr and min hands in the dark by looking at the 2 long green tubes. Lugs: Curved lugs hug the wrist nicely and helps a lot in hiding the thick dome caseback. Hope you guys enjoy this. :) |

Nice Ball! Best for the money, IMO.
