comfort me......please!

on my way home from work i went in to my AD to enquire about my Sea Dweller, its been gone for 5 weeks for a service and crystal change, only to be told that it could take another 3 weeks to return home to me.

i feel like it has been gone for an eternity, i feel like i should be howling at the moon for its loss.

is this normal? or am i really that sad?

I feel your pain, my friend....and, YES, you really are sad!!

We love our Rollies almost as much as we love our family (I think!), but once you have Dwelly back on your wrist....you'll be all set to let the good times roll out once more!!

Best - JJ

There now

Ooops! SORRY! I wanted to gently pad you on your head with my gentle hands, but there is no smiley for that, so I had to go a bit more rough

Anyway, you get the meaning. Let's have a beer or two and you will forget about your SD for a while :-)

I know how you feel - my GMT11 has been away since beginning of March ..... I guess that the elves are busy at Bexley.

I am hoping that, unlike my SD, when I get it back it will be nice and safe in a rolex service box and not simply wrapped in bubblewrap!!!!

Good grief, Nick....I'd heard the RSC in Sydney was slow and expensive...but that is somewhat over the top..

This is why some people swoon and buy a new one so they won't be lonely during the servicing period.

Hi Nick,

I think I'm lucky that live in Jakarta...I brought my TT Yachtmaster to RSC Jakarta last year to be completely serviced and overhauled (according to RSC Jakarta, YM Bezel cannot be refinnisihed, they will only have it cleaned)...

The price was IDR 3,000,000,- (USD 333) and I received my watch back within 2 weeks in a mint condition...

Regards,

LOL! If you need 3 million of your currency for just US$333, how many suitcases of cash would you need if you had to buy a new car?

Cheers - JJ

Hi JJ..

1 USD = IDR 9,000

The highest value of our bank note is IDR 100,000,-
The lowest value of our bank note is IDR 1,000,-

The price of a middle class Toyota MPV is IDR 175,000,000 = USD 19,444,-

Regards,
