Thanks to all the TRF members

Hi guys after months of reading this forum getting so much valuable info i finally got my first Rolex. It just so happens that its my 30th bday and what better present to give my self. I decided to go classic and purchased a 36mm Datejust here @ my local AD. I know from a collectors stand point the DJ is not a collectors item but i really need a dress watch for work. Iam now afraid that i cought the bug and already thinking of getting my self a sporty Rolex yikes... just have to blackmail the wife to let me buy another watch or i'll get a motorcycle hehehe..

Enjoy it. And for any watch purchases my suggestion would be to buy them because you like them and don't worry about collectability. If you buy it thinking that ( like most purchases) it won't be worth much later then you will be a lot more careful with your choices; if you assume you can sell it later you might be tempted to buy something you're really not sure of. Just my 2 cents!

You don't want want the "dress" Rolex to get dinged up so you'll have to get a "tool" Rolex for other activities! Enjoy!

Yep get that one that makes you smile, not the one that is so collectable it will just sit in the safe.

Happy Birthday and Congrats on one fine looking watch.
