Looking through posts...

... and encountered the following Post: "How often are you noticed with your Rolex?"

I thought to myself... You only will understand how it feels once you live in Hong Kong!!!

I've been to Hong Kong a few times and let me tell you this. Every other person has a rollie lol hahahah

You can walk around the streets, take the subway and trust me, you can play a guessing game trying to figure out which rollie you encountered the most during that particular day!

It's paradise over there!

I see more exotic cars there than Rolex's, maybe I'm concentrating more on the cars

Totally agree Chinese always had a thing for Rolex; synonymous with success and wealth. That is why Hong Kong people might have a dingy flat, a jalopy but must have a Rolex. Alot of them are probably show offs and some young people probably wear fakes.

My uncle said to me the Chinese before they deal with you in business the first thing they look at is what is on your wrist, not your suit or shoes.

That could be the case...but the level of wealth in HK right now is crazy (well it has always been a capitalist paradise) and don't even get started on the real estate.

You will probably see alot more all gold rolexes in HK as well, in the Chinese culture gold has a special status.

Very true................and many of them are TT DJs 31 and 36 mm.

Not too many sports watches to be seen by comparison.
