Hello guys. I'm new to this forum and just got my new 116610 LN from John Bull Limited / Bahamas. Would like to know if the position of the Coronet Logo on the crown when fully screwed in is in random position when viewing from the side? I know it's probably a stupid question, but I noticed when I first got the watch and I set the time, the top of the crown was facing left so the crown itself when viewing from the side is actually parallel to the watch case.

Today, I had to make an adjustment to the date since it was a day late (September only has 30 days), when fully screwed in, the top of the crown is now on the bottom and is exactly 180 degrees when viewing from the side. Not sure how this is possible? lol

It's very rare for it to line up a at the 12:00 position. Mine is at 3:00.

Thanks guys. I thought the thread is fixed and it should've screwed in exactly the same as the first time meaning the top of the crown is facing at 9 o'clock :-) Not sure what I did different that it's now on 6 o'clock.

Also, I noticed that before I screw it down (when it's in the winding position) since I fully wound it yesterday, the crown stops when in the winding position if I turn the crown clockwise (before putting pressure towards the case to screw it down) Is that a mechanism to stop me from overwinding?

Why has everything got to line up today with Rolex watches myself blame the Internet. Its perfectly normal for the crown emblem to be anywhere but don't screw the crown down more that just a slight resistance finger tight

Mine is at 11 o'clock, probably in 5 years it'll reach the 12, but at that time it'll be also "overhaul time" at the RSC!

You are right It should screw down to about the same position every time.

If I understand you correctly that aint right, with the crown in the winding position it ought to turn without stopping, overwinding protection is provided by use of a slip clutch device.

Yeah, it is. Besides, over time thread wear and seal compression wil cause it to migrate anyway.

Yeah you are correct, I feel that there's something stopping me from turning and I didn't want to force it in case that's meant to do that. You're right about the crown position, it should've not changed, however it did. So not sure why it's at 6 o'clock now when it used to be at 9 when I first got the watch.

No problem buddy but it sounds like you need to take it back to an AD and have them look at it! Is John Bull an AD?

Are you sure it was screwed down completely when you got it? If it consistently screws down to the same position it should be ok. As mentioned above you can't overwind it assuming everything works properly.

Yeah John Bull Limited is the only AD in the Bahamas and they have multiple location in the island.

LOL I don't think that's possible since I don't live in the Bahamas. I'm in Cali, but I'm sure any AD like Ben Bridge would be able to tell me. :-)
