'Old' Vs 'New'. Which would you choose?
Which of the below would you choose as a collection?
Old 16600 M-Series 16610LV M-Series 16610 D-Series Or New DSSD GMT2C I currently own the 'old' collection and my eyes have been turned by the newer models. Should I liquidate my old collection and go for the new? I'm just afraid that I'll regret big time when the time comes Last edited by garis; 25 October 2010 at 02:32 PM.. Reason: spelling |

I have chosen a hybrid as the perfect solution for me. The 16600 SD is the greatest classic tool watch ever made IMO. But I also believe that the new feature set of the GMTIIC make it a technological tour de force and a must have as well. One of each can't be beat.

The ones you've listed (in the old) are all discontinued and are all classics in their own right....I'd bet you would regret flipping them the moment they leave your hands! Just my

All three of your watches are icon references IMHO while the 2 new watches you listed are still current production.
Time is on your side with the newer references. Who says you can't own 5?

I would mix it up a little
No need to have all "new" or all "old". I'd keep the SD and one of the Subs and add a new GMT2C. Good luck.

Thanks all for your input.
I'll start saving for the new pieces as just the mere thought of letting go of any of my current babies just give me the shudders. Definitely big time guilt and regret |

As many have mentioned, save for the new. You might regret selling your collection later on.
