Milgauss + Pam00000 + £2000 = SS Daytona ???
Hi Guys,
Just been enquiring into trading up my Pam00000 Logo (1 year old) and Black Milgauss (just over 1 year old) for a SS Daytona (gently used is ok but essentially newish) The response a received from well known UK Grey dealer was £2000 diff for the deal ie. £1800 for the pam and £2600 for the milgauss 'depending on condition' (both are v good) feel i am being low balled here............... esp seeing as pam goes for mid £2ks and milly for mid £3s also the fact im essentially losing cash on both sides of the spread. what do you think? bear in mind i have not tried negging on this initial offer yet. where's value here or am i going to get run over every time... |

I would agree with you on been low balled.
Looks like the grey dealer wants their cake and eat it too. They are having a laugh!!! Other suggestion is to get in touch with the trusted sellers here and see if they can make you a better offer/exchange. |

Or you can always flip your watches yourself and lookup a nice daytona from one of the trusted sellers here on TRF.

If it is the company I think you're talking about, they will do a commision sale maybe they could put Daytona to one side whilst they market your other watches.
If not you could always try your luck in the "for sale" section

Personally, I'd keep the PAM and black Milgauss....Both are great pieces, unique and special. Then again, the Daytona doesn't do that much for me, so, take this post for whatever it might be worth... Good luck with the decision.

I may be in the minority here, but I think the deal sounds about right. May be try and counter the offer with £1500 cash. Personally, I would keep both pieces though.

sounds about right,he has to resell which doesnt leave much room for profit, the better way would be to sell them yourself and them buying from here.make sure you really want to sell 2 good watches for only 1.

Wise move IMO - you'd lose too much to make it a decent trade.
In the grey dealer's defence, instead of having to work to sell one watch, doing a trade like the one you were considering means he'd have to work twice as hard, selling two watches. So to justify this, he builds in a wide profit to make it worth his while (and time). |
