GMT C or Sub C?
There are features of both watches that I prefer and am on the fence.
Vote is either GMT C or Sub C. Thanks. |

tough decision - i would probably go with SS Sub-C
price-wise, you will get a better discount on a SS GMTIIC than a SS Sub-C at the moment |

subc , i dont like the polished centre links on the GMT. Plus the sub has the new glidelock clasp.

Seems like quite a few are perplexed by this dilemma.
For me, it's an easy choice: Sub-C....Not a fan of the GMT-C's bezel font, PCLs or green text and hand. Good luck! |

Ha! I'll be the lone voice in the wilderness. GMT for me. Both are amazing pieces, but the GMT has always had a special place for me.

Tough call but I voted GMT-Master II. The new Submariner ceramic is a fantastic looking watch but its predecessor (the 16610) has the edge for me. The GMTIIc, however, looks great with the ceramic bezel.
Just my opinion... M |

I do not own either but have seen and held both in the flesh...my own opinions...
- font too large on the GMT bezel making for a busy crowded dial where the Sub bezel is less so. - polished links vs. preferred brushed links on the Sub. - green GMT hand - wish it was red. - GMT bezel can appear rather grayish vs. the Sub's deep black bezel which looks sharp in any light. |

I vote GMTIIc because it is what I have :) But that being said, I really think the GMT is the best sport rolex. The 24 hour hand, the numbers on the bezel, the clasp, the polished center links, just make it all around fashion and rugged at the same time. The Sub C is gorgeous, as I tried it on, but I feel the GMT will stay with me longer, and I do travel, so the 24 hour hand is cool. I used to have the older submariner and the older GMT pepsi, and the GMT just did it for me. Plus, in my travels, I have seen much more subs that GMTs. Bottom line though, as I am sure anyone on this forum will agree: both are pretty much A+ watches and you really can't go wrong. I would like a Sub C someday too.

sub c is great.
But the GMT IIC kicks it up a notch with the PCL. The reality both are so similar to each other. Go with your first choice.. |

I have both, but depending on my mood I'll wear one or the other. The SS GMT IIc is a little more dressy with the polished center links and understated green 24 hour hand. The SS Sub c is perhaps suited to those who are more traditional and prefer the Rolex "tool watch" look of yesteryear with no polished links. I like having both, but if I could only have one, it certainly would be a tough choice. Good Luck and let your wrist do the talking.
