Sub-C LV with massive Battle of Hastings gold coins
The Battle of Hastings coin set commemorates the 1066 Battle in a 900th anniversary set done in 1966. There were only 150 sets of these coins ever made.
This particular set 99/150 belongs to my father-in-law and weighs 6.5 ounces and are 22 carat. |

I did'nt know that the battle of Hastings was commemorated in England . (William the conqueror was not very tender with the population to say the least)
By the way do you know the difference between french and english train stations ? Well, in France they are named after victories, in England after defeats . |
