FNG here
Hey Gents,
I've been following rolexforums.com since 2006, my senior year in college, where I was a sales rep for Montblanc part time. I wanted to introduce myself and say that I appreciate all the knowledge that I have gained here. I started to appreciate watches (or time pieces as the Richemont Group likes to call it) mainly because they were diversifying from writing instruments and I was given a subscription to IW magazine and instructed to study other brands. Fast forward 4 years, I'm waist deep in my career as an Army Officer. I purchased my first and probably only Rolex when I pinned on Captain. A stainless steel Submariner with lug holes and SEL from Robrobin on these boards. I'm with the school of thought that I wear it at all times, except in the shower and in bed. However, I'll probably change it to a black out zulu strap when I'm deployed again. My next watch that I intend to get is the Speedmaster Pro, and maybe down the line an gold watch that is more formal (model and make not determined). Currently, I also have a Hamilton Khaki, 38mm auto as well. Just wanted to say hi, and I have to confess that I still look at the for sale forum almost daily. |
