GTG update

Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow morning at Panera. Dinner looks doubtful tonight at Shinto due to some late change of plans by the folks traveling to Cleveland from out of town. The Ohio Turnpike (I 80) was snow free last night when I drove from Cleveland to Detroit. |

I plan to bring about a dozen (+/_) from my collection, some modern, some vintage and a few Panerais! Some to show, some to trade.

Nice. I'll bring a few also to share with the group. Not planning on leaving with any less that I came with though. Just tossed a dozen or so in a Godiva chocolate box. Mostly vintage Rolex, Omega, Breitling, IWC, Hamilton, and maybe a couple of unusual pieces!!!

Hey Guys, sorry I couldn't make it. The weather made it a bit tricky to travel that far.
I am waiting patiently to see all of the pictures and hear about all of the fun. |

Slow and steady wins the race.
Chances are, there will be a GTG before Pgh..

Well, I'm finally home again and done tending with "issues" here.
Only 3 of us made it, Mark(Theken), Bill(Widows Son), and myself. I thought you Steelers fans were tougher than a 'lil snow! Still had a great time! Thanks again to Mark for putting this together and thanks to Bill for making in. Both have very nice, extensive collections and brought quite a few that I certainly admire. Sorry, guys, but there are very few pictures that Mark took at the restaurant after the AD. I don't think there would have been any if Bill hadn't said something. Tony Sheiban, the AD, had quite a spread of food for his open house. He was a really great guy and was, somewhat in a dealing mood. Mark will need to address that issue more, if he pleases. Hopefully, he'll take some pics. to show what I mean! All I'll say is he did add to his collection, and quite nicely, I ight add. All I can say is I enjoyed myself and the company I was in. Even the tatooed grandma and the pencil eyebrowed mother that showed up at the AD. |

Yep, had a great time!!!! Mark and Doug are a couple of great guys to spend a cold winter day with. Hey, that didn't sound quite right!!! Thanks to Mark for setting the GTG up and to Doug for making the drive down from Motown. Had a very pleasant day filled with good conversation, more than a few laughs, some great watchtalk, and new friendships. Now if Mark will quit fondling his new toys, maybe he'll post some pics!!!

It was really nice to spend the day with you guys as well.
Thanks for making that long drive from Detroit, Doug. And Bill, so nice that you made it to your first, of hopefully many, TRF GTGs. In spite of the weather, Sheiban hosted a fantastic Holiday event with some great refreshments and a wonderful staff that spent a lot of time with us. My new toys???? If you remember, Bill and Doug, I left the store empty handed! However...I plan to return to Sheiban on Friday to pickup a very nice package. The only hint is that one of the items is green...very appropriate for hanging on the Christmas tree. Tony Sheiban also presented me with a beautiful gift so I promise at least one picture later this week. A couple of (very bad) pictures from our lunch after the AD visit. (Bill on the left, Doug on the right, I took the picture) |

Looks like a good time was had by all. Hopefully the weather won't be an issue next time.
Hey Mark is the green one your going to get anything like the green one I just picked up yesterday, or is it the newer version. I just picked up my 16610LV yesterday. |

I am sorry that I missed this wonderful gathering. Knew about it almost a month late. Next time. Merry Christams and a Happy New Year to All.
