I don't think it is a gimmick, but I don't think it's the kind of thing Rolex would adopt either.

Well Paul, I've voted yes....at least I'd like to see better lume offered on various models whether tritium is the answer or there's a better alternative. Check out my Ball watch

I don't see Rolex making that look good on one of their dials. It simply doesn't fit IMHO. Maybe it is a better fit for others, but the styles don't match a Rolex in an overall sense.

I'm not in favor of that at all and I don't believe that Rolex will ever go in that direction.
I'd rather see a Rolex with Indiglo.

I think it would be a good idea on a couple of the sport models, but not throughout the entire Rolex line. That being said, Rolex could do a much better job on the application of their Super Luminova as well. They definitely fall short in the area of lumination when compared to many other brands.

While they provide great lume, I think gas tubes ugly the hands and markers because they always look like an add-on which they are.
