1976 GMT I - 24h Hand Settings
Good Afternoon,
My dad was kind enough to lend me his 1976 GMT I Pepsi, however even after 31 years of ownership he didn't know how to set the 24h hand... I looked it up online but could only find insstructions for the newer GMT II's. Would anyone happen to know how I set the 24h hand? Thanks!! Cheers, Steve |

The GMT-MASTER does allow for "de-coupling" between the 12 and 24 hour hands. They are synced together.
To use the 24 hr. hand for another timezone the bezel has to be turned. Your watch should have a hacking feature, but the date will be non-quickset. (can be a real pain) |

I should add that had you watch been a 16750 the numer 2 position would be for the quick-set date, a feature 1675s do not have.

Thanks for your quick reply!
I was going to set the 24h hand to GMT, and the 12h clock to my local time... However, I guess this is not an option with this older watch. Cheers, Steve |

Well, just to show you how context can mean everything, I thought you actually DID type it. I subconsciously put it in, I guess!
