A Breitling Chronomat...green bezel/green leather strap. If I post a picture, could someone identify the model?

Had a Rip Curl surf watch... the caseback was held on with iron screws which rusted out and it fell apart. Got given a free replacement of a better Rip Curl model, and first day I was wearing it, older brother said it looked like a piece of crap and told me to take it off.
He fished a TAG Heuer F1 Chrono, circa 1989 out of his junk bin and told me to get a battery for it. 8 years later, the TAG had a pusher fail... took it to the AD, they quoted over $2,000 to fix a $300 quartz watch, so spent the money on a barely used Seamaster Chrono diver instead for my birthday. Year later, bought a destroyed 1680 Sub, rebuilt it and ended up with a cool vintage Rolex. So it was all my brother's fault.

My first watch was a Nivada Grenchen Chronomaster that I bought in Nassau when I was 16. That was Christmas 1969. That watch was replaced in 1978 when I graduated to a Rolex 6263, which I own to this day. My Nivada Grenchen was stolen when someone broke into my residence at university in 1979. Such is the danger of having more than one watch. Here is a picture of that watch model:

I have had 38 watches until I settled on the five I have today, these ranged from Oris and Tag Heuer to Brietling and Omega, I have flipped most of em to get the small collection I have today (I even flipped a SS white faced daytona and a coke GMT! - what an idiot)
I still have a Panerai and a chronomat but the DSSD is with the jeans and the GMTIIc for the suit and more formal doo's (TAG F1 for bashing, swimming and Holidays) regards John |

Started with Omegas, older Constellations and a Flightmaster (really miss these). Plus all the digital Casios and had a couple of plastic Swatches as well. More recently a Rado Diastar. I started my Rolexes with 5500 Air King with an Explorer I redial and a '70's TT Date with salmon dial. Upgraded in 2009 to my "P" series SS 16710 GMT-II Pepsi (just switched the bezel to black for a new look) and about 2 weeks ago added my "T" series 18238 DD YG w/champagne dial.

My first watch was a Bulova. Then in the service I fell in love with a Rolex President. Alas I could not afford it even at PX prices. So when I bought my first luxury watch it was the first museum Movado. That watch was so thin it was a marvel it did not break. I gave it to my son. Then I got a Sector as a beater. Finally I bought my first Rolex, a Cellini. I still have that. Soon I got the fever and purchased a GMT IIc followed by my Rose Gold TTDJ.

My daily was a Tag Heuer Classic 2000, I also bought my ex-girlfriend the ladies version so we were matching. Come to think of it, that's probably why we broke up - I must have come to the realisation that it would be too expensive to keep buying her matching watches once I got into Rolex territory :)

Omega Seamaster. Still have it. I don't give it wrist time. But I like seeing it on the wrist of my daughters when either ask to wear it

I wore an Omega Seamaster mid-size auto (2551.80) for about 4 years prior to getting my GMT. Needless to say, it hasn't gotten much attention lately. I just refinishing the bracelet and case, so my significant other can wear it.

A Bulova and up to this point this was the most expensive watch I had ever owned. It wasn't until I got my first Rolex that I paid much attention to watches.
