RG DD II Dial Options & Wrist size ?'s (pics please!)

OK
What dials are available for the RG DD II.
Is there a complete list somewhere?

I can't warm up to the smooth bezel on the DD II but the fluted looks
good. For some reason the smooth looks out of proportion size wise.

I am still unsure if the DD II will look good/dressy for suit/tux/daily wear or if its a bit big for a 6.8 in wrist.

How about pics of your DDII's and wrist sizes??

Again I so want to love the Plat DD II but that bezel looks out of whack size/proportion wise

OK, I'll bite...

I think there's probably something in the Resources and Links section on dials and bracelets. The range of dials isn't particularly large for the Day-Date II when compared to the range available for the Day-Date. For the rose gold model, there are, I believe, nine dials available. The colours are pink, black, white/ivory, bronze and chocolate (with Arabic, Roman, stick and diamond indices).

As for the Rose Gold Day-Date II, no pictures, but:

1. I wear mine quite often and it goes well with suits and ties (my daily wear) and also with jeans and casual shirts. I wore it once with my DJ, instead of wearing one of my proper dress watches, and it was fine (it's under the cuff anyway),

2. It's difficult to say whether the watch is too big for a 6.8 inch wrist, as wrist circumference doesn't, in itself, mean that much (shape of wrist plays a part as well, as does shape and height of the watch and its lugs, etc.). That said, my wrist is 6.5 inches in circumference and my Day-Date II sits very comfortably and doesn't look too large to me.

While you're looking at Day-Date II dials (and I know its the Rolex forum, so sorry in advance) take a quick look at the rose gold Omega Hour-Vision

with silver dial:

and brown dial:

Even if only to get an idea of the competition ;)

KKWN. Which dial did you go with?

The pink Romans and pink concentric with black Arabic numerals is nice as well. I wonder if they have a white yet and Romans yet as I think that's what I'd go with quite possibly.

If you have a DD or DJ (36mm) and a DDII do you still find yourself wearing the 36mm?

Thats a GREAT dial and a top option.
BUT
If they do have White with RG #s that would win hands down for me!

Just looks more fun and sporty yet it still has the class of the dial you posted.

I also sort of like the all black dial with black #s but I know Id tired of that one quickly!

JYogi,

I have two dials, the concentric Romans like the one posted above and the diamond indices dial. The diamond indices dial, which wasn't really something I thought about before I purchased it, is actually very discrete.

Up until the point I actually bought my watch, I was going to go with the black dial with black Arabic numerals.

There is indeed an white (more ivory) dial with rose gold Romans, and also a black dial with rose gold Romans - this one looks spectactular.

I have a couple of 36mm Datejusts and I do indeed still wear them. They're part of the rotation (as is the Day-Date II).

Otto - beautiful yellow gold Day-Date II you have. Wear it in good health.

Otto,

I just can't stop looking at your pics, stunning!
It is making me rethink Everose on pale skin, YG may be the way to go.
Also, I am starting to think/wonder/worry RG is sort of a fad again thats just
"in" now like it has been in the past.

Is the Day/Date dial as white as the main dial?

I called my rep at my local AD today to see what he has for me to get a look at on my wrist (he knows I will likely buy elsewhere but buy enough stuff for my wife from him he still loves to help me) he was in FL and won't be back to work till Tue but we have an appointment on Tue (hope they have a good stock on hand!)

I am still young and just feel the champagne dial is a bit too sophisticate of a look for me, I like how the white is a bit edgy/sporty.

I do swear I have seen the RG DD II with White dial and RG Romans ???
