GMT II: Parachrom hairspring

I'm in the market for a new 116710LN. Is there anyway to know (without removing the back) whether a particular watch is the newer verison with the parachrom hairspring? Will the model number or the serial number reveal this?

All the 116710s use the cal. 3186, which has always had the Parachrom hairspring. Buy with confidence

what about the new "blue" parachrom hairspring? That's what I'd really like to make sure my watch had before buying it. I've heard a lot of good things about it on this site, so if I'm going to plunk down for a new GMT II, I'd like to be sure it had the most up-to-date mechanics. Anyway of verifying this?

It's the same thing. They're all blue Parachrom springs in the 3186s

Thanks. for your help. Since you seem to be so knowledgable: Can you recommend a reputable online merchant where I can purchase one with confidence? And what price should I expect to pay ($US) for a new 116710LN?

The sellers on this site are definitely to be trusted - try Oscar (Bodybump) or Greg (Mosco) - not sure about what you should be paying, I work in pounds and full retail
